In April, 2015, I was honored to have this image, printed on aluminum by Fine Art America, win 1st place in the Professional category of the annual members competition at the Center for Creative Arts, Yorklyn, Delaware. About Richard Ortolano
My interest and curiosity for fractals began in 1998. Since then, what began as a hobby has developed into a passion for creating these colorful works. I strive to create abstract images that "suggest" real and surreal scenes and objects. My goal is to stimulate the viewer's imagination into seeing further interpretations beyond the abstract image.
